Drawing and Printing Techniques
This course springs from the need to broaden the Faculty’s training options and the desire to outline a study ground for printing technologies, having in mind an exploration of their independent plastic/conceptual properties and a research of their legacy.
The course intends to foster printing techniques through artistic exploration and artistic research projects based on interpretative grounds.
Anchored in the history of printing techniques and its connections with Drawing, it has direct ties with the Theories and Practices in Drawing MA.
GOALS
- To train the student in printing techniques;
- Pinpoint and tryout technological possibilities inherent to printing routines;
- Exploring artistic expressions inherent to printing techniques;
- Widening the scope of artistic possibilities;
- Examining artistic production within a contemporary timeframe, directed at art multiples and using printing technologies.
